MEET THE OWNER

Tony Pera

After working 32 years in the industry, opening 43 different restaurants in 9 different states, Tony Pera wanted to come home. His dream was to end up where he began — here in The Springs, here in Security-Widefield.

His career as a culinary professional and restaurateur started in Colorado, then to Missouri, Kansas, Arizona, Texas, Florida, Utah, North Carolina, South Carolina, and finally, back home to Colorado Springs. Tony’s journey across the U.S. took him out of his comfort zone, where he learned new culinary techniques, delicious dishes, and deepened his passion for and connection with food. Each region is unique with specific qualities, giving him a true understanding of the complexity and beauty of American cuisine.

When he came back home, he wanted to find the perfect place for local people to come together in a comfortable, friendly spot where he could share his passion for classic American fare, well-crafted by skilled, caring hands. Tony wanted to create a menu to help others connect, reminisce about old times, and make new memories sitting at a table with a great plate of food. Family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers coming together in his original neighborhood.

He found that perfect place. A restaurant that was originally a Pizza Hut back in the 1970s. The place where he and his friends came as kids and gathered around a two-seater table-top video game playing Ms. Pac-Man and Galaga, having the best time ever. Tony knew he could make it just what he wanted. His dream. The Local Table.

Opening his 44th restaurant, Tony came full circle. Just where he wanted to be. At home, in The Springs. A place where you can have a burger and a beer with your buddies, family brunch on Sunday, and make good memories, one plate at a time.

Welcome. We’re glad you’re here.
